I am a philosopher of science and physics at Balliol College, Oxford. From October 2018, I will be a Departmental Lecturer in Philosophy of Science at Oxford, affiliated with Merton College.
My DPhil (PhD) thesis is on the foundations of general relativity and supersymmetry. Within the philosophy of physics, I am also interested in issues related to the foundations of quantum field theory, spacetime, and string theory. I also have interests in the philosophy of science more broadly and am especially interested in the nature of confirmation of scientific theories.
I am married to the philosopher Rachel Elizabeth Fraser.
